History

Capalaba State School originally opened its doors to the public on 13 July 1874, with the High School following it 4 years later.

Uniform

Prior to 2010, the prominent uniform worn by students at Capalaba State College was the sports uniform, while the formal uniform (or Day uniform), was only worn by students during events which involved interaction with the public (such as awards night or arts night). However, Dion Coghlin, the College Principal, has reintroduced the Day uniform as the prominent uniform for all students in both Junior and Senior campus, to be worn for the majority of school days, except for sporting events.
